Image Medicine
Image Medicine is a modern healing method rooted in ancient wisdom, offering a unique approach to health by addressing physical, energetic, and informational levels. It harmonizes the body’s yin-yang balance and opens up the unity state of being. In a healthy person, these layers are interconnected, influencing and supporting one another in a balanced, harmonious bioenergetic system.
True to its name, Image Medicine uses the power of images to diagnose and treat imbalances. When imbalance or illness arises, images appear that reflect areas of stagnation, stress, or energy disruptions. These images can then be transformed to restore harmony in the body, energy, and mind. Techniques also include freeing blocked energy pathways, revitalizing the system with new energy, and cleansing areas where energy has become stagnant. Trusted for thousands of years, this method draws on the deep roots of traditional Chinese medicine.
Health means no disruptive image; Imbalance or illness shows up as an image. The image could represent anything from past experiences and stress to energy stagnation or weakened organs. Since the body is an interconnected system, any disruption eventually impacts various levels. Image Medicine seeks to identify and address the core cause of any imbalance. Rather than focusing on symptoms alone, it goes deeper to ensure alignment across all layers of being.
Each consultation is personalized and includes a discussion to understand the client’s unique life story, relationships, and energy flow. Imbalances often relate to energy blockages within the body’s meridians, which are carefully worked on during treatment. Image Medicine is a creative, deeply individualized process, making each session unique to the individual. Non-invasive and free from side effects, it easily complements other treatments.
The roots of Image Medicine go back to Bian Que, an ancient Chinese physician whose work inspired a tradition refined over thousands of years and adapted today into a modern, comprehensive approach.
Now, Image Medicine is taught by Professor Xu Mingtang at the Beijing Medical Research Kundawell Institute. The institute is a world-renowned center for treating and researching chronic illnesses, with a skilled team that integrates the best of traditional and modern Chinese medicine. Today, Image Medicine is practiced in over 50 countries. For more, visit kundawell.com.
I began my journey in Image Medicine in 2013 in Riga, through Zhong Yuan Qigong, which is intricately connected with this practice. This led me to my first Image Medicine seminar and to participate in the 4th International Conference. A follow-up seminar in Bratislava, along with the 5th International Conference in 2015, reinforced my commitment to this work. In 2016, I completed a 10-day training, and in early 2017, I finished foundational studies at Kundawell Institute, becoming a Level 5 therapist. Additional trainings in 2018 and 2019 helped me advance to Level 3, and I now apply Image Medicine in my practice to help address a range of imbalances and illnesses, from the root of energy blockages to the symptoms they create.
